DAY 21 COMPLICATED PROBLEMS SIMPLE SOLUTIONS

Aloha Calder Gamedevhq intern here with another article about the daily grind and the things I have learned today.

so I finally got through my issues of the player and enemy not colliding turns out it was as simple as adding a few arrays oh boy so glad I don't have to do that again but it was so silly how complicated it had to be like I wish it was references to remind us about these things but I guess it was good it helped me to remember the things that I've learned already and this is why it's always good to redo or retrace your steps that way you can retain the information that you've been cramming into your brain for the last week and a half I really want to say thank you to Aaron and Ryan for helping me out with this today.

and now I'm on to visual effects finally and I'm already running into my first problem which is try not to get the enemy to explode on spawn at the moment it's even in view it explodes without touching anything or colliding anything I feel like I wrote the code right but it's saying that something is not interacting with it or I spelled it wrong so I'm going to go and look up some ways people can deal with this problem and see if I can do it in the same way.
